Lexington, KY (April 23, 2018)- UK Superfund Research Center Graduate Trainee Jessie Hoffman was named the Department of Pharmacology and Nutritional Sciences 2018 Student of the Year on Thursday, April 19, 2018. The award recognizes Jessie's exceptional achievements and demonstrated student leadership. Jessie is pursuing a PhD in Nutritional Sciences while also working toward becoming a Registered Dietitian (RD). She is actively engaged in community work and is passionate about helping individuals realize the profound effect nutrition has on the function and well-being of the body. Jessie works in Dr. Bernhard Hennig's lab on UK SRC’s Project #1: Superfund Chemicals, Nutrition, and Endothelial Cell Dysfunction.
