UK SRC's Dr. Zach Hilt Named 2019-2020 UK Research Professor

Dr. Hilt Research Award Acceptance

Lexington, KY (May 9, 2019)- Gill Eminent Professor of Chemical Engineering J. Zach Hilt has been named one of the University of Kentucky’s 16 University Research Professors for the 2019-2020 academic year. This award recognizes faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in research and creative work that addresses scientific, social, cultural, economic or health challenges in our region and around the world. The purpose of the University Research Professorship program is to recognize and publicize research accomplishments of scholars across the full range of disciplines at UK. The award amount is $10,000 for one year, to be used to further the research, scholarship and creative endeavors of the awardee. 

Dr. Hilt is UK SRC’s Project #4 PI and Training Core leader. Hilt has extensive experience in nanocomposite material development and their application in biological and environmental areas.
