UK SRC Graduate Trainee Brittany Rice Wins 2018 UK Inclusive Excellence Award

Brittany Rice Inclusion AwardLexington, KY (April 23, 2018)- UK SRC Graduate Trainee Brittany Rice received the 2018 University of Kentucky Inclusive Excellence Award in the Graduate Student category on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at the UK Faculty Awards Ceremony. This distinguished award recognizes Brittany for her exemplary contributions to advancing diversity and inclusion through campus and community leadership and engagement. The University has expressed its sincere appreciation for Brittany's dedication and passion to this essential work.

Brittany is a SREB Doctoral Scholars Program Fellowship Recipient currently pursuing her PhD in Nutritional Sciences. She works in Dr. Kevin Pearson’s lab on UK SRC’s Project #2: Postnatal Complications of Perinatal Polychlorinated Biphenyl Exposure. Earlier this year, Brittany received the Essence Fierce Award in recognition of her contributions to the community.
